Create and Assign Regions

In order to import public holidays into your calendar, you first need to create a region. In objectiF RM, a region includes countries, states or cities that has been assigned a language (English or German). A region determines the language in which emails are sent and also which public holidays are imported into objectiF RM’s calendars

Assign regions in the editing dialogs of organizations, projects and staff members.

Create Region

  1. Go to the Backstage menu and select Settings/ General Settings.
  2. In the tab Regions & Holidays, click on the green Plus button and enter a region name. Regions don’t necessarily have to be countries, states or cities; they can also be office branches.
  3. Select a color in the drop-down menu Color for all holidays. What you choose here determines the color in which holidays are displayed in the calendars they are imported into.
Be aware that the color chosen here will be applied to holidays from all regions created, regardless of how many you create or the language assigned to them.

Assign Region

If you have created one or more regions, you can assign them to a project, an organization or an employee. To do this, go to their respective editing dialogs and select a region from the drop-down menu.

You can select a region in the following system locations:

  • through the Backstage menu of an organization in the dialog for Organization/ Properties,
  • through the Backstage menu of a project in the dialog for Project/ Properties,
  • and in the view for Edit organization staff using the editing dialog for a user.
