objectiF RPM

objectiF RPM is an enterprise software based on the methodology of the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB). The IREB standard refers to the following tasks: defining the system and system context, analyzing stakeholders and their goals, and determining, documenting, reviewing, coordinating, and managing requirements. The tool also supports you in planning classic, agile or hybrid projects.

 

Version 7.5
New features

Here, you will find a list of some of the new features and improvements which come with version 7.5 of objectiF RPM. If you require a more in-depth overview of the changes made with the release of the new version, see the new version’s changelog.

  • With version 7.5 you can open queries, views and diagrams with our brand-new voice assistant. For more information on how to set up the voice assistant, a separate document is available upon request.
  • With the Newsfeed feature, you now have quicker and easier access to notifications concerning product information and regular updates about microTOOL releases and events. The Newsfeed can be enabled for the entire system. Users can configure whether or not they wish to receive notifications through the Newsfeed in the notification settings.
  • If elements from other projects are referenced in dialogs and formulas, they now have the context menu command Go to Definition, which will take you to the corresponding project.
  • The context menu commands for getting and viewing files are now available for files from different projects.
  • In the dialog for Backstage Settings, users can now configure for a specific project/organization or the last opened project/organization to be displayed upon login.
  • When dragging & dropping files onto activities, you can now specify in the dialog that subsequently appears whether a file should be assigned as an input or output product. This action is also supported in views for activities.
  • It’s now possible to create all diagram types for elements through the commands available in the topic bar.
  • With the new version of objectiF RPM, you now have access to the database cleaning tool Database CleanUp. With this, you can permanently delete projects and project revisions from databases.
  • In the Service Manager, you can specify a maximum number of floating licences and named user licenses to be made available for a given service address.
Version 7.4
New features

  • Selecting the option Inline creation of activities enabled gives you the ability to create sub-activities for the selected activity. This is done through the green row that appears
  • Through the backstage menu, you can configure which properties and relations from activities can be copied when using the shortcut CTRL C
  • The control element for Links can now be used for requirements and goals in the form designer. This allows you to create multiple links in a form
  • New buttons available for project plan and activity plan views, which enable the user to toggle between showing and hiding Gantt charts and critical paths, as well as filter activity properties and search for specific activities
  • Export appointment data from requirements and activities in ICS format into calendars (e.g. Outlook)
  • Export queries in PDF or XML format
  • In the context menu of Excel files, the command Import artefact/ Import additional element types allows the user to add artefacts to projects
  • Export queries in CSV format
  • The option for Show row numbers allows you to now display the row numbers for queries
  • Assign external files to activities via drag & drop

  • The interface to Azure DevOps now allows you to exchange work items and requirements of various types
  • As long as the objectiF RPM server and objectiF RPM web client are installed on the computer in question, it’s possible to log into the web client with windows login credentials
  • Databank administrators can now open the view for license management, which is found through the backstage menu
  • In the settings window, it’s now possible to retrieve a web address for each region created. This web address can then be sent as a notification via email
  • The menu button on your keyboard now opens context menus in the tool
  • The staff calendar can be linked to the theme bar

  • New view for time recording
  • Messenger feature now allows users to receive system messages
  • The keyboard shortcuts CTRL+C, CTRL+V and CTRL+can now be used in the web and desktop clients
  • Tooltips now available for stereotype properties
  • When creating a new task, project members can be imported from the active directory
  • When importing Jira stories, there is now the option that only stories that have already been imported will be updated when the time comes.
  • The Go to Definition command takes you to the storage location of selected queries, views and diagrams
