Keyboard Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts are a great, time-efficient way of performing work processes for which you would otherwise need to use a mouse.
Note
The shortcuts listed here can only be used with the desktop client.
You can use the following keyboard shortcuts within the client:
CTRL +TAB | Hold down the CTRL key and use the TAB key (or the arrow keys) to scroll back and forth between all open windows, views or dialogs. |
F1 | This opens the online help page for the dialog open at the time. |
F2 | Allows you to rename the selected element. |
F10 | Opens the language menu in the upper right area. You can choose between German and English. |
CTRL +A | Selects all elements within a selected field. |
Arrow keys | Use the arrow keys to navigate through packages. |
Enter | Opens a selected element. |
Delete | Deletes selected elements within the Products window. |
NumPad + | Expands package contents. |
NumPad – | Collapses package contents. |
Letters | Jump to a package within the Products window by typing the first letter of its name. Use the shift key in combination with a letter to change the direction of the search. |
CTRL+C | (Version 8.2 and later) Copies selected elements to the clipboard. |
CTRL+V | (Version 8.2 and later) Pastes copied or cut elements into the package, diagram, query or view open. |
CTRL+X | (Version 8.2 and later) Cuts the selected element and stores it on the clipboard. |
You can use the following key combinations with the Form Designer:
Delete | Deletes a selected function from the form. |
CTRL+Z | Undoes an executed action. |
CTRL+Y | Repeats an executed action. |
Right click in the form designer. | Activates the cursor. |
CTRL+G | Groups the selected functions. |
CTRL+A | Selects all functions within a form. |
You can use the following keyboard shortcuts with the server:
CTRL+N | Create a new service. |
F5 | Refreshes the view. |
Alt+F4 | Exit service manager. |
