Log Files
If a technical problem occurs, the relevant log files can be forwarded to our support team.
The following log files can be found on the client computer:
With Version 8.5 and later, the log file for the objectiF RM client can be found in the following directory:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\Client\Client.log
The log file for documents can be found here:
C:\Users\max.mustermann\AppData\Local\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\WordAddin\WordAddin.log
The following log files can be found on the server computer:
The log file for the objectiF RM server is stored here:
C:\ProgramData\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\Server.log
The log file for the endpoint is stored here:
C:\ProgramData\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\EndpointName.log
With Version 8.5.1 and later, the log file for license usage is stored here:
C:\ProgramData\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\[Name of endpoint]_LicenseUsage.log
The log file for the Service Manager with version 8.5 and later, it’s stored here:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\ServiceManager\ServiceManager.log
With Version 8.4 and earlier, the log file is stored here:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\microTOOL\Logs\ServiceManager\log.txt
The log file for the database upgrader with version 8.5 and later, it’s stored here:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\DatabaseUpgrader\DatabaseUpgrader.log
With Version 8.4 and earlier, the log file is stored here:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\microTOOL\Logs\DatabaseUpgrader\log.txt
The log file for the full text search is stored here:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\FullTextSearchManager\FullTextSearchManager.log
The log file for the performance measurements can be found here:
C:\ProgramData\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\ServerDiagnostics.log
The log file for the database cleaner can be found on the computer where the objectiF RM server is installed. The directory is here:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\microTOOL\objectiF RM\x.x\Logs\DatabaseCleanUp\DatabaseCleanUp.log
The log file for the web service can be found on the computer where the web service is installed:
