Filters

Filters allow users to search for elements according to a specified criteria. If a part of a filter is underlined, this indicates that it is editable.

Filters have the following options:

Select a navigation path Enter here the element for which the filter should be applied.
Select a property Enter here the element properties which should be filtered through.
Select an operator
= only shows data which has an identical value to the one entered
!= only shows data which doesn’t correspond to the entered value
< only shows data with values smaller than the one entered
> Only shows data with values greater than the one entered
<= Only shows data with values smaller or equal to the one entered
>= Only shows data whose values are greater or equal to the one entered
Enter a value Some values need to be entered manually. Whether or not text or numbers can be used to define a value, is dependent on the selected property.

 

Properties Filter

Queries only display results which correspond to the specifications of their filter settings).

Example: Show all elements with the properties ‘Requirement.Stereotype ‘Name‘ ‘=‘  ‘Bug.

Select a navigation path Select a property or element-type.

Select property Select an element-property.

Select an operator Choose an operator from the list.

Enter a value specify a value.

Detail Filter

Queries can also be configured to be number-specific. Use this filter when, for example, you only want to see which requirements have no test cases or a specific amount of test cases.

Example: Show all elements with the following details: ‘=‘  ‘3.

Select an operator Choose an operator from the list provided.

Select a value Enter a value.

Editor

This filter lets the user see who has created and edited each element. In order to configure this filter, you firstly need to make sure that either Associated project user to requirment, Associated project user to test case or Associated staff member/ project group to activity has been selected in the drop-down menu for Entities.

ExampleShow all elements where ‘UseCase.CurrentState‘ has been current ‘edited‘ by staff members.

Select a navigation path Choose either an element type or a property.

Select editing kind Choose an editing type. The two options of Created and Changed allow you to differentiate between who created the corresponding element and those who have edited it.

Activities of Project Group (Version 7.1 and Later)

With this filter, you can configure the query to only show the activities for which a specified project group has been assigned. Specify a project group by entering its name in the text field for enter a value.

Example: Show all elements, assigned to the project group ‘Developers‘.

Enter a value Enter here a project group.

Activities of the Project Groups of Current Staff Member (Version 7.1 and Later)

With this filter, you configure the corresponding query to only show the activities that have been assigned to the project group(s) that the user currently logged into the system is part of.

Example: Show all elements, assigned to the project groups of the current staff member.

Current Project Staff Member’s Activities

With this filter, only the activities directly assigned to the user currently logged into the system are displayed. (This filter is only available for activities.)

Example: Show all elements, assigned to the current project staff member.

Project Staff Member by Group (Version 6.3 and Later)

Use this filter for query types which are concerned with project staff members (i.e. project staff members with test cases.) If you use this filter, the query will only show project staff members who have been assigned to a specific project group.

Example:Show all elements, where the project staff member Project staff member‘ is in the group ‘Tester‘.

Select a navigation path Here, choose a project staff member

Enter a value A project group needs to be manually entered.

Related Project Staff Member

Use this filter if you have a query whose elements can have project staff members who have been assiged to them, such as requirements or tests.

As long as one of Associated project user to requirement, Associated project user to test case or Assigned staff/ project group to activity have been selected as the value for a query type’s Entity, the related project staff member is displayed in the query results.

Example: Show all elements, where the current project staff member is related to ‘AssociatedTestProjectUser.

Select a navigation path Choose a relationship. If the query displays requirements or bugs, you can choose the relationship Related project staff member; choose this option if you have created your own artefact relationships to which project users can be assigned. Meanwhile, if the query display tests, choose AssociatedTestProjectUser.
