Edit permissions

In every project there are files that a user should not see, change or delete. In objectiF RPM, you can set access rights for packages, directories, queries, and views in an organization and in a project. The permissions defined here apply only to the contents of the selected item.

  1. Open a project/organization and select a package, directory, activity, view, query, or state in the state machine.
  2. Choose Edit Permissions from the context menu.
  3. In the subsequent dialog, use the plus button to specify a project group and/or a user. Multiple selection is possible.
You now define the access rights for each group and each user listed here.
  1. Select a project group or a user and select the corresponding access rights under Permissions for […].
The rights apply to all users assigned to the group. If a user is represented in several groups, he automatically receives the highest right that you have defined for a group.
None The user has no authorization and therefore cannot see any elements.
All The user has unrestricted rights and can see, edit, delete, create or change the status of elements accordingly.
List The user can see the corresponding element in the Products window, but no context menu commands are offered. If other child elements are subordinate to the element, these are also displayed.
Read The user can see the corresponding element in the Products window, in diagrams and in queries and open the editing dialog. The Show command is offered in the element’s context menu. The element cannot be changed or deleted.
Write The user can change and save the corresponding element. The Show and Edit commands are offered in the context menu of the element. The element cannot be deleted.
Create The user can create elements. The commands Create, Show, Edit are offered in the context menu of the element.
Delete The user can delete the corresponding element. The Show and Edit commands are offered in the context menu of the element.
Change State The user can change the state of the element. The Show and Edit commands are offered in the context menu of the element.
  1. Save with OK.
