Dialog “Create Revision”

A revision is a valid state at a given time of a requirement, file, single artifact, document, diagram, package, and project.

If you want to make major changes to an item, we recommend that you version the file or create a revision first.

    Hint
In projects are revisions created automatically when a new element is created or during a state change, if this is set in the state machine.

When you create a new revision, you can enter information or a description about the revision here. These revision descriptions are displayed in the history and provide a quick overview of the individual revision statuses.

Create Revision for not changed entities (Version 6.3 and higher)
By default, a revision is only created if the item has changed from the previous revision level. Select this option if you want a revision to be created even if the contents have not changed.

This option is offered when you create a revision for a project. If you check the option, the created revision can be published directly and used as a project template when creating a new project.
