Version 8.1 and Later

Since version 8.1, you can copy messages from a chat, save them to a text file, and delete entire chat histories.

Copy Messages

Individual messages can be copied to your clipboard and pasted elsewhere. However, sent links of project elements cannot be copied. 

1. Open the Messenger and select a chat.
2. Highlight the text of a message and copy it with CTRL+C.
   Alternatively, you can also use the context menu command Copy.
3. Press CTRL+V to paste the text into another location.
   Alternatively, you can use the context menu command Paste.

Save Messages

Entire chat histories can be saved as text files ( *.txt). Individual messages are listed with their creation time, dates and authors alongside the message content. 

1. Open Messenger and select a chat.
2. Select the chat’s context menu command Save history.
3. In the subsequent dialog, specify a local storage location via the […] button and confirm with OK.

Delete Messages

To delete the entire history of a chat:

• Open Messenger and select a chat.
• From the context menu of the chat, select Delete history.
  The entire history will be deleted.
