Dimension

A dimension describes the quantity of a unit and defines physical quantities such as temperature, weight or length.

Create dimension

You can enter dimensions manually using a dialog or model them in a block diagram. You can recognize a dimension in the system by this icon:

Stereotype

The stereotype of a dimension is <<QuantityKind>>. You need the stereotype when you create document templates, queries, forms, or search for a dimension in the tool. In the Stereotypes window, you can find the QuantityKind stereotype under DomainElement. Here you can create additional sub stereotypes or user-defined properties. Properties do not have to be created separately for each sub stereotype, since the properties are inherited from the main stereotype.
