Enumeration

An enumeration is a special data type whose values are defined by a declaration.

Create enumeration

You create enumerations manually using a dialog. You can recognize an enumeration in the system by this icon:

Stereotype

The stereotype of an enumeration is <<Enumeration>>. You need the stereotype when you create document templates, queries, forms, or search for an enumeration in the tool.

In the Stereotypes window, you can find the stereotype under Type. Here you can create additional sub stereotypes or user-defined properties. Properties do not have to be created separately for each sub-stereotype, since the properties are inherited from the main stereotype.

Context menu commands

You can use the context menu commands to edit enumerations or define enumeration values. The following context menu commands are available for enumerations:

Edit

Opens the editing dialog in write mode.

Create

Contains the command that you can use to create enumerated values.

Delete

Deletes the enumeration from the project. The action cannot be undone.
