Conduct video conference
If you have or can connect a camera and microphone to your computer, then you can join or invite to video conferences.
Start video conference
Only one video conference can be attended at a time.
To conduct a video conference, you need a chat.
- Open Messenger and highlight a chat.
- Click the video camera on the right side.
Alternatively, you can select the Video conference command from the chat’s context menu.
A dialog opens where you specify whether to join the video conference with video and audio.
- Select the appropriate options and click OK.
Join video conference
Hint
Only one video conference can be joined at a time. If a participant receives another invitation during an ongoing video conference, he must end the current one in order to join the new conference. If the invitation is accepted anyway, he will receive a message in the output that he is already in an ongoing video conference.

If a video conference was started and a participant was not in the project at that time, he can join the video conference if he selects the chat and clicks Video conference via the context menu. You can recognize a running video conference by the camera in the chat.
If the participants are already logged in to the project, a pop-up dialog appears, which they can use to decide whether they want to participate in the video conference. By default, the Activate microphone and Activate camera options are checked.
- Click Join.
Provided everyone has their camera and microphone on, participants should be able to see and hear each other.
When the videoconference is running, you can use the lower buttons:
