Flow Specification

A Flow Specification defines the incoming and outgoing data, objects, energy flows, etc. of a flow port in the form of flow properties.

Create Flow Specification

You can enter flow specifications using a dialog. You can recognize a flow specification in the system by this icon:

Stereotype

The stereotype of flow specification is <<FlowSpecification>>. You need the stereotype when you create document templates, queries, forms, or search for a flow specification in the application.

In the Stereotypes window, you will find the stereotype under DomainElement. Here you can create additional sub stereotypes or user-defined properties. Properties do not have to be created separately for each sub stereotype, since the properties are inherited from the main stereotype.

Context menu commands

With the context menu commands, you can edit flow specifications, share them, create revisions, and much more. The following shortcut menu commands are available for flow specification:

Edit

Opens the editing dialog in write mode.

Change State

Show Diagrams

Opens a selection dialog where all diagrams containing the flow specification are displayed. If you select a diagram and click OK, the diagram opens.
